Yes, children are naturally curious.  Curious readers enjoy exploring!  When is an educational approach to learning uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), an explosion occurs.  

 

Readers can read to learn and experience the interconnectivity of STEAM.  Authors can combined fiction with nonfiction and create a novel based on variable facts.  This interrelationship concept is called expository fiction.  Expository fiction can be used to confront make believe, myths and fantasies and open a new world of learning and creativity.
