Welcome to Vision Harmony. We do book publishing. We're an independent publisher of STEAM and STEM literature and books to educate and entertain all ages. Our authors provide the service of story time to local students upon request--a great learning & entertainment opportunity. Our collection of books (and theme related art), combines captivating storytelling with educational themes in science, technology, engineering, art, and math to create a unique and engaging reading experience.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Monica Guillemin is a lawyer and physician associate (assistant) whose medical career expands across ob-gyn, emergency medicine, and neurosurgery, plastic & reconstructive surgery. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science, completed a post-graduate physician assistant surgical residency in trauma surgery and also earned a Juris Doctorate degree. Monica first gained notoriety as a PA specializing in cardiology after co-authoring a research paper published in the Journal of American Cardiology and the Journal of American Academy of Physician Assistants on genomics. She has penned two medical thrillers based on stem cell therapy & cloning. As an adventurist, Monica has braved several mountaineering and whitewater rafting expeditions and is an expert skier. Monica makes her debut as a photographer in Safari of a Lifetime—a children storybook and companion photography book.
Barbara J. Satterfield is a noted children book author from Los Angeles. Although Mrs. Satterfield is retired from teaching in the classrooms, she holds a lifetime teaching credential from LAUSD and visits schools regularly for Storytime. She is the author of Tomias The Cat, and Answer Why For Mee Mee, both of which have been widely distributed in Los Angeles County, and many other schools across the country. She is a mother of 3 daughters, two of which are LAUSD educators, and novelist Monica Guillemin. Mrs. Satterfield has toured in California, Washington State, Washington DC, Texas, Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Baltimore. She is still active in her community and teaches Sunday school.
Carla McMichael, is an Administrative Law Judge, appreciated amongst her peers, family and friends as a jetsetter and globetrotter. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. Judge McMichael valiantly balances a gavel, motherhood of two, grandmother of three, mentor and a friend of many. With a keen eye for deciphering detail as a judicial officer, Judge McMichael discovered she could apply her sharp shooting skills behind the lens of a camera while on a Safari in Tanzania, and Zanzibar Africa. Her photographic skills are unveiled in the children storybook Safari of a Lifetime, which she is a coauthor and photographer.
Jackson Hangai is a beloved Tanzanian. He completed high school at Mbezi Beach High School and graduated from Nairobi Institute of Tourism. Jackson is a highly sought after tour guide not only because of his knowledge and expertise in tourism but also because of the outstanding ratings tourists score Jackson on as a tour guide. He is known for his kind, gentle spirit, flexibility and professionalism during safaris and tours. Jackson provides tours for Easy Travel, the award-winning travel group in Tanzania, where the storybook, photography book and children coloring and activity book Safari of a Lifetime is based on. He has also worked for Four Seasons Safari Lodge in Serengeti Tanzania and Sopa Lodges. Jackson is married and has 3 beautiful children.
